Apache Peak is open today but due to weather conditions there is no skiable trail back to Sunrise base. From Apache Base descend VIA Apache Drum to Cyclone Base shuttle transportation back to Sunrise will be available. Thin cover and unmarked obstacles exist. Ski and ride with CAUTION.

Fresh snow alert! 🌨️ We woke up to 3 inches of new snow at the base, pushing our base depth to 22 inches and climbing. Winter is showing up in a big way at Sunrise! Snow is still falling with more on the way throughout the day, stacking up across the mountain and refreshing runs from top to bottom. Cold temps are keeping the snow light and playful, and groomed terrain is skiing great with soft turns and improving coverage everywhere. Our grooming team laid down fresh corduroy overnight, delivering smooth, consistent runs from top to bottom. What a day to be on the mountain! We’re welcoming a picture-perfect bluebird day with clear skies, plenty of sunshine, and stellar grooming across the resort. It’s the kind of morning that makes you want to carve endless turns with no clouds in sight. Whether you're an early bird catching the first lifts or arriving later, today’s conditions are prime for both cruisers and thrill-seekers alike. Snow Conditions: The snow is holding strong with good coverage across all open terrain. Thanks to our grooming crew, the runs are buttery smooth, and the packed powder is perfect for laying down some fast, fun turns. You’ll find soft and forgiving conditions on most runs, especially on the lower mountain where the sun has had a chance to work its magic. Lifts: Lift 1 is open, and the snowmaking team has been hard at work overnight, to get even more coverage on the hill. A heads-up: the visibility is perfect today, so there’s no better time to explore some of the wider, open slopes. And, as always, keep an eye out for those unmarked obstacles when venturing off the main trails. It’s a bluebird day with epic grooming, fresh air, and plenty of sun—come enjoy it while it lasts. Wake Up & Shred: Overnight Snow Delivers!

Good morning, powder seekers! ❄️ Mother Nature delivered overnight with 6 inches at the base and a tasty 10 inches up at Sunrise Peak. Soft turns, fresh lines, and that unmistakable midwinter stoke are on tap today. The mountain has a refreshed look and feel, with plenty of playful pockets to keep things interesting from top to bottom. A quick heads-up: with all this new snow, unmarked obstacles do exist, so keep your eyes up and your turns smart—especially off the beaten path. Our patrol team is already hard at work, and the upper mountain will open as soon as patrol clears the runs. Stay tuned, stay safe, and get ready to make the most of a seriously fun day out there. Slopes Open During Daytime, Night Skiing Postponed

We would like to inform our guests that daytime operations are proceeding as scheduled for January 2 & 3, 2026, and the resort is open for regular daily activities. However, night skiing has been postponed for January 2 & 3, 2026 due to current conditions. This decision has been made in the interest of safety for both our guests and staff. Conditions will continue to be monitored, and updates will be communicated as soon as they become available. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to the resort during daytime operating hours. Please monitor our Facebook or Instagram pages for further updates.

Now Open DAILY! Gear up and hit the slopes!

We are now open to the top of Spirit Ridge (Lift 8) with daily operations! Get your skis and boards ready and hit the slopes! New this season: children 12 & under are free. We also offer free tickets for seniors 75+. All other ages have tickets available starting at $25 online. Join us tonight at 6pm for a Christmas tree lighting at the hotel. Upper trails are ready, and we need to make one last push with snowmaking as soon as we get a cold enough window to fill in the very top by the lift.
