3D Shootout 2025
July 3-5, 2025: Join us this Summer for the 38th Annual Sunrise 3D Archery Shootout! The largest outdoor 3D archery shoot in the Southwest, where visitors of all ages will be able to register for “shoot for fun” courses or compete for prizes. There is also a raffle for a Bull Elk Hunt on the White Mountain Apache Reservation, valued around $27,500! The event will take place July 3-5, 2025.
In addition to the 3D archery shoot, families will be able to enjoy other summer activities at Sunrise Park Resort, including scenic lift rides, zip lining, rock climbing, horseback riding and more. Scenic Lift Rides and base area activities remain open until 8:00pm on Saturday, July 5th. Fireworks around 8:30-9:00pm.
*Note: for safety, mountain biking, zip lining, and hiking will not be available during the shootout weekend

Shoot for Fun
Thu, Fri, Sat – 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
Walking courses open at 8:00am daily. Lift-access starts at 9:00am and stops at 4:00pm. Courses must be cleared by 6:00pm.
Fun Shoot registration will be available on-site starting 7am daily until Saturday, July 5th, at noon.
Fun shoot participants can shoot up to 4 courses per day (plus the two extreme courses). Participants may purchase an additional fun shoot ticket to shoot an additional 4 courses per day.

Competitive Shoot
The 3D Competitive Shoot is a Two-Day Tournament held at Cyclone Base! Registration and check-in is available starting at 7am.
The Tournament begins at 8:30 am, Friday, July 4th and will end Saturday, July 5th.
The Award’s Ceremony will take place at Sunrise Base around 3:00 pm on July 5th, after all Competitive Shoots have Concluded.
All Pee Wee Participants will receive an Award!
Pee-Wee, Cub, & Youth:
8 & under, 9-12, and 13-17
- Two 10 Target Course with Double Scoring
- Shoot time: 12:30pm July 4th & 5th
- 12:00pm Mandatory Shooters Meeting both days at Cyclone Lodge
- Prizes: Trophy for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

Rates will be only +$4 from last year for all competitive classes
Adult and Seniors:
- Two 20 Target Courses with Double Scoring
- Shoot time: 8:30am July 4th & 5th

- Prizes: Buckle for 1st, Trophy for 2nd and 3rd
- Add Fun Courses for $20 (pre-reg) or $25 (on-site)

Frequently Asked Questions
Are prices for the entire weekend?
Yes, the prices listed include Thu-Sat for Fun shoots (4 courses per day) and Fri-Sat for Competitive Shoots.
How many fun courses can I shoot?
Fun course participants can shoot up to 4 fun courses per day (plus the two extreme courses). If you would like to shoot more than 4 courses per day, you can purchase an additional registration.
Are lift tickets required?
Lift tickets are included for all shoots that require lift access. Additional lift tickets for non-shooters can be purchased at the base.
Will camping be available?
Yes, camping will be available at the Sunrise Campground as well as at Hawley Lake, Big Bear Lake & Little Bear Lake with a permit from either the Sunrise General Store or Hon-Dah. Will the Sunrise Park Lodge hotel be open?
Yes, the Sunrise Park Lodge recently underwent a full remodel and will be open during the 3D Shootout, with newly remodeled rooms, dining, an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, and more. Hotel booking is now available below.
Will there be fireworks?
No, fireworks are not scheduled because fire danger is already high and is not expected to improve by the 3D Shootout event weekend. We
