Get ready for a Memorial Day Weekend Mountain Adventure! Power was restored last night and Sunrise opens this Friday, May 23! Tickets for most activities will be available online tomorrow at the link in our bio. Opening Weekend Activities: - Mountain Biking (all trails are expected to be open) - Sunrise Apache Alpine Coaster - Zip Line (Apache High-Flyer for now, full course opening June 18) - Scenic Lift Rides - Tubing Hill (NEW - 3 lanes, new location) - Climbing Wall - Hotel Lodging (open Thu-Sun) - Camping (campground and RV - NO FIRES) - Boating and Fishing at Sunrise Lake - Mountain Dining (Crown Dancer Cafe and Eagle's Nest) - Hotel Dining (Bigfoot Pub open to the public) Activities opening later: - 3D Archery (open starting 3D Shootout July 3-5) - Drop Zone (New and opening soon) - Full Zip Line Course (opening June 18) Visit Sunrise Park Resort this summer for the Ultimate Mountain Adventure you won't soon forget!
Update 5/20: Power was restored last night and Sunrise is opening! Previous Update: Sunrise Park Resort will be opening Friday, May 23, contingent upon our electricity services being restored. On behalf of the entire team at Sunrise, we send our prayers for the safety of all the firefighters working around the clock to contain the Greer Fire that started in the north end of the town of Greer on Tuesday, May 13, just before 11:00am. A full power outage has been ongoing at the resort and across the mountain since the start of the fire, but all Sunrise facilities have been otherwise unaffected by the fire. Despite power outages, our crews have been working to prepare the mountain for an opening date of this Friday, May 23. Teams have been working to clean and clear all bike trails across the mountain. We also have a team installing a brand-new tubing hill with three all-new tracks at a new location next to the day lodge. We are also preparing for the return of two huge summer events: Big Mountain Enduro and the Sunrise 3D Shootout. Big Mountain Enduro is America’s largest enduro series and is returning to Sunrise Park Resort for the third consecutive year this June 13-15. The Sunrise 3D Shootout is the largest archery competition and fun shoot in the Southwest and returns this July 3-5 for the 38th annual event. There is currently no ETA on power restoration, but our provider, Navopache Electric (NEC), has stated they will restore power after the infrastructure is assessed and it is safe to do so. Get ready for Pond Skimming! Join us on the Bunny Hill this Sunday, March 30, for the annual end-of-season Pond Skimming Challenge! Anyone with a valid Season Pass, Extended Spring Pass, or Day Pass for Sunday may participate. Register at Guest Services by 11:30am on Sunday and the competition begins at 12:00pm. Guests must be in a costume to participate, and various prizes will be awarded.

Sunrise Park Resort is part of the White Mountain Apache Tribe in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona. The resort is just a four-hour drive from Phoenix with two different routes of similar drive times. Sunrise is also under four hours from Tucson or Albuquerque, NM.
