MLK Jr. Day - Sunrise Peak Reopen

Snowmaking has filled fresh snow on No Name and the trail has been groomed, allowing us to re-open Sunrise Peak access via Sunrise Express (Lift 1). The lift and peak access were closed yesterday for safety reasons for safety reasons due to icy conditions. Spirit Ridge (Lift 8) and Pony Double (Lift 2) are also both open and operating on a normal schedule. The Sunrise Apache Alpine Coaster and the snow tubing hill are both open Fridays through Sundays. Sunrise Park Lodge hotel has been remodeled and is now open daily with booking available on our website under Stay/Lodging.

MLK Jr. Day

We had snowmaking overnight and were able to fill No Name with some fresh snow. Our groomers are currently cleaning up the trail and we anticipate a delayed opening of Sunrise Express (Lift 1), which was closed yesterday for safety reasons due to icy conditions. Fireworks and Torch Light Parade tonight!

Night skiing/boarding concludes tonight with fireworks over the mountain! Night skiing is included for all Season Passholders and is offered as a stand-alone or add-on ticket to all Day Pass guests with tickets available on-site only at the ticket office. Fireworks start around 8:45pm and are free to view anywhere around the base area, the torch light parade starts around 8:15pm and can be viewed from the base (register by noon at the Mountain Learning Center), and the pub party goes from 8-10pm (visit the events page on our website to reserve a spot for the pub party). Unfortunately, due to high temperatures causing rapid snow melt, the upper half of the mountain is closed today. We expect colder temperatures tonight and we will be working tonight to fill in Spruce Ridge to No Name with the expectation of reopening the trails on the upper mountain tomorrow. The Sunrise Apache Alpine Coaster is now open daily through January 5th. Tubing opens today and tickets are available for purchase online and on-site.

The following offerings are now open Fri-Sun: Skiing/Snowboarding from Midway Down (Fairway to Pinedale), Sunrise Apache Alpine Coaster, Sunrise Park Lodge (hotel booking now available for the season). The opening schedule is Fri-Sun until Dec. 8 (discounted tickets available), then daily starting Dec. 13 (regular rates start). Tubing is currently closed and is expected to open Dec. 26. Our snowmaking team has been hard at work making snow across the mountain, but we haven't seen any noteworthy natural snowfall in weeks, so terrain is currently limited to Midway down and the Bunny Hill. We will continue snowmaking daily (as conditions allow) and we're working to open more terrain as soon as possible. Keep an eye on this snow report for updates.

Sunrise is now open for winter!!! Dust off your skis and boards and get ready to hit the snow! Sunrise received 14" of snowfall last night! We have also been making snow since October 19, so things are gearing up for an excellent season! Opening day is predicted for Friday, November 29, so get your skis and boards out and ready! Have you purchased your season pass yet?
