Sunrise Race Day
Sign-up at Guest Services March 2 or March 3. Entry is $25 (includes lunch)
Come and enjoy a day of racing. You may have seen the red and blue brushies on Spruce Ridge and more recently on Lodgeview. This time: let’s compete!
Entry is $25 and includes lunch and prizes for the winners.
The race is for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels from beginners and experts. Anyone who doesn’t know how to race will be taught. A helmet is REQUIRED.
Go to Guest Services to pay your entry fee, then meet at Sunrise Day Lodge cafeteria dining room between 8:00 – 8:15am. You will receive your bibs. If you did not sign your waiver form, you will need to submit one.
If you have NASTAR GOLD or above, please bring documentation or pin and you will have the opportunity to go earlier. The drawing order for the NASTAR gold or above will be determined.
At 8:50, we will enter the lift lines, ride lift 8 or lift 1, and meet at the top of Lodgeview. The experienced racers will be asked to help teach our future racers how to race.
The participants will get a countdown and on the sound of the air horn, will start the race. A timer at the bottom of the course will report the time to be recorded.
The racecourse will be open all day, but at noon we will hold a lunch and awards ceremony for the age and group category and the overall 3rd, 2nd and 1st winners.
