Employment: Mountain Learning Manager
Job Summary
The Mountain Learning Manager is responsible for the safe administration and delivery of all snow-related instruction, for all age groups. The ideal candidate will be PSIA or AASI level 2 certified or above. This position will supervise all Snowsports staff to include training personnel, supervisors and will be required to interface with the sales desk team. The successful candidate will be highly versed on risk management, training, and development. Prior supervisory or management at an established PSIA/AASI affiliated Snowsports School is mandatory.

Compensation: $19.50 – $26.00/hr. (DOE)

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Hiring, motivating, evaluating, and directing Mountain Larning Center employees (collaboratively with HR department).
- Provide training, support, guidance, and feedback to all ski/snowboard instructors and bike skiing instructors.
- Maintains professionalism in conducting business and in appearance. Customer service is key.
- Maintains composure in a fast paced, potentially high-pressure environment.
- Works a flexible schedule with hours, days, weekends, holidays….and prioritizes the seasonal position.
- Encouraging students before, during, and after instruction and following up with students afterwards.
- Building rapport with team, students, and Sunrise Park Resort employees.
- Establish departmental standards, guidelines, and objectives.
- Perform administrative functions: budgeting and advanced planning/forecasting to achieve departmental goals.
- Maintain a guest focused culture.
- Develop a reward/motivating culture for employees within the Mountain Learning Center, as well as hold instructors accountable per policy/attendance etc.
- Work closely with Ticket Manager, Rentals Manager, and Marketing/Events Coordinator (bookings, collaboration, campaigns).
- Proficient in sales via online, phone, in-person. Must assist customers with booking, scheduling, payment, selection of an instructor, time, day, location, and other customer requests.
- Keep inventory records and maintenance records of all equipment and uniforms necessary to maintain the standards set forth by Sunrise Park Resort.
- Actively promote safety by educating staff and guests.

Education and Experience
- PSIA/AASI Level II or higher
- Previous supervisory or management of PSIA/AASI affiliated school
- High School education or equivalent, some college preferred.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time, able to read and speak English fluently and clearly.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must have experienced using Microsoft Office products, resort specific software, and the internet.
- Must have excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Must possess traits of honesty and integrity.
- Must have excellent follow-through on projects.
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs.
